Why it matters for Abilene
Local radio personalities often shape community conversation and serve as connectors for local businesses, charities and events. Elliott’s return has implications for advertisers seeking a recognizable local voice during afternoon drive — a prime time for audience engagement — and for listeners who have followed his career since the late 1990s.
Community Broadcast Partners said it expects Elliott to be an asset to both the station and the communities it serves. The company provided a contact email for the new host: brad@cbpradio.com.
As traditional media adapts to digital competition, familiar local talent can help maintain station relevance in the Abilene market by retaining longtime listeners while attracting new ones during high-value dayparts such as the afternoon commute.
