The Columbus Air Show Presented by ScottsMiracle-Gro confirmed Thursday that the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will return to central Ohio as the headlining act for the 2027 show, scheduled for July 9–11 at Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK).
The announcement comes after a reported turnout of more than 47,000 spectators at the 2026 event and marks the Blue Angels’ third performance in Ohio in five years — a sign organizers say reflects the show’s growing regional pull.
“Fresh off the heels of an incredibly successful 2026 show attended by more than 47,000 fans, the Blues selecting Columbus again is amazing news,” said Herb Gillen, president of Herb Gillen Airshows, which produces the event.

Seating, partnerships and local impact
The show will offer a range of seating packages from general admission to premium club and box seats, and continues to market corporate partnership and hospitality opportunities for businesses seeking on-site exposure. Organizers provided an email contact for partnership inquiries: info@ColumbusAirShow.com.
Large air shows draw significant visitor activity, putting pressure on local traffic and hospitality services while also offering a boost to restaurants, hotels and vendors. Rickenbacker’s position as a commercial and logistics hub on Columbus’ southeast side means the event will use airport-adjacent infrastructure to accommodate crowds and static displays.
