Board retains leadership; new member attends first meeting
The Fargo School Board voted to keep its leadership in place for the upcoming school year Tuesday, reelecting Katie Christensen-Mineer as president and choosing Greg Clark as vice president.
Christensen-Mineer, who began her term in 2022, will serve a second term as president. Her background includes leadership work in the nonprofit sector with the Planned Parenthood organization and six years teaching middle and high school Spanish.
She began her term on the board in 2022.
Clark, also a board member since 2022, was elected vice president. A professional data analyst by trade, Clark spent time studying education policy while earning a master’s degree from Syracuse University and has lived in the Fargo area for several years.
New member joins amid continuity
Tuesday’s meeting was the first for Jolene Garty, who was elected to the board in June. The board also confirmed returning members including Robin Nelson and Melissa Burkland, along with Clark and Christensen-Mineer, who were reelected to their seats earlier.
