ATLANTA — A new student housing complex planned immediately adjacent to the Georgia Tech campus will introduce 55 furnished residences and dedicated ministry space when it opens for residents in the fall of 2027, developers said.
What’s being built
Called 740 Techwood, the five-floor building will occupy a half-acre site at 740 Techwood Drive, roughly half a block from Bobby Dodd Stadium. The project covers about 64,000 square feet and is being developed by CCI Real Estate. Developers expect to begin pre-leasing later this summer, with first student move-ins slated for fall 2027.
Amenity and unit mix
740 Techwood is designed with a roommate-focused layout and will offer studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans. Interior features and on-site services listed by the developer include stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, nine-foot ceilings, full-size washers and dryers in units, and 55-inch mounted televisions.
- Units: 55 furnished residences
- Size: 64,000 sq. ft.; five stories
- Move-ins: Fall 2027
- Pre-leasing: Begins later this summer
- On-site retail: Three Tree Coffee Roasters
Community and campus ties
The project is being built in partnership with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and will replace the existing Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) location at Georgia Tech. BCM has maintained a presence at the campus for more than 75 years, and developers say 740 Techwood will include expanded ministry spaces to serve that group.

Where it fits on campus
The new building will sit within immediate walking distance of academic buildings and athletic venues on the Georgia Tech campus, a placement that typically appeals to undergraduates seeking convenience and roommate-style living. Developers noted a focus on communal spaces — lounges, study rooms and an outdoor courtyard — alongside the coffee shop tenancy by Three Tree Coffee Roasters.
Construction is already underway, with True North Companies serving as the general contractor. For students and families planning housing for the 2027–28 academic year, pre-leasing information will be available through CCI Real Estate when reservations open later this summer.
This development replaces a long-standing campus ministry footprint while adding private-market student housing in a highly visible location near Bobby Dodd Stadium. Residents, neighbors and campus organizations can expect additional planning and permitting information to be released as construction continues toward the 2027 occupancy target.
