IDAHO FALLS — A fire that broke out Saturday afternoon on West Broadway Street and Trolley Way caused roughly $10,000 in damage to a manufactured home and harmed several vehicles and outbuildings, officials said.

Firefighters limit interior damage

The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to the blaze about 1:30 p.m., according to department spokeswoman Hayli Egbert. Crews kept the flames from spreading into the interior of the manufactured home, limiting destruction to the exterior siding and the rear of the structure, Egbert said.

"Firefighters stopped the (blaze) before it extended into the interior of the manufactured home, limiting damage to the exterior siding and rear of the structure," Egbert said.

In addition to the home, Egbert reported damage to multiple items on the property. Authorities did not provide individual damage estimates for those items.

  • Vehicles and equipment: a 2016 Honda Civic, a motorhome, multiple trailers, a boat, a maintenance truck and two snowmobiles on a trailer
  • Property: a garden shed, outbuildings and roughly 200 feet of cedar fencing
  • Structure: one manufactured home — exterior and rear siding damage
Item Reported status
Manufactured home Exterior and rear siding damaged; interior spared
2016 Honda Civic Damaged
Outbuildings and yard items Damaged (including shed, boat, trailers, snowmobiles)
Cedar fencing Approximately 200 feet damaged

Investigation ongoing; no injuries reported

Officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.

Witnesses captured photos and video of the scene as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. The department has not released further details on how long suppression efforts lasted or whether any displaced residents will require temporary shelter.

This incident is the latest local residential blaze this summer as hot, dry conditions across parts of eastern Idaho increase fire risk. Fire officials routinely urge residents to take precautions around flammable materials, secure outdoor power equipment, and report any suspicious activity that could contribute to accidental fires.

News Block will provide updates as additional information becomes available from the Idaho Falls Fire Department.
