Early-morning shooting outside Ptarmigan Elementary leaves one wounded
Anchorage police say a man was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body early Tuesday outside an East Anchorage elementary school and remains hospitalized with what officers described as a life-threatening injury.
Officers responded at about 4:15 a.m. to the 800 block of Edward Street, near Ptarmigan Elementary School, according to a statement from the Anchorage Police Department. “We are cooperating fully with the police investigation and will provide additional information if appropriate,”
