A judge in Caldwell County ordered Michael Lee Allard, a man from Breckenridge, held without bond after prosecutors filed charges alleging he sexually abused a child under the age of 12.

Court records show Allard is charged with two felonies: second-degree child molestation, a Class B felony, and an unclassified felony count for statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy involving a child younger than 12. The criminal complaint ties the charges to alleged incidents on July 11, 2026, and to conduct occurring at some point between Jan. 1, 2026, and July 11, 2026.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, a witness entered the child’s bedroom on the evening of July 11 and observed Allard with a hand inside the front of the child’s underwear. Investigators say the child later disclosed the touching had taken place over several months, beginning around the time the defendant reportedly began reading bedtime stories to the child.
Investigation, movement and law enforcement response
Investigators identified a vehicle they say was driven by Allard and sought assistance from the Missouri Information Analysis Center. The affidavit notes that a most recent alert from a Flock camera system placed the vehicle in Harrison, Arkansas, on July 12. Prosecutors told the court they believed Allard had fled before officers could question him and that he had ties to both Moberly, Missouri, and Harrison, Arkansas.
