Ten current and incoming members of the Arkansas General Assembly toured the 47th Arkansas Governor’s School at Arkansas Tech University on Thursday, July 9, meeting with students from the regions they represent and receiving a program briefing from AGS leadership.
Legislators connect with rising seniors
Legislators attending the visit included a mix of House and Senate members and incoming representatives. Those photographed at the event were: Rep. James Eaton, Rep. Julie Mayberry, Sen. Dan Sullivan, Rep. Matt Duffield, Arkansas Tech President Dr. Russell Jones (present for the visit), Rep.-elect Brian Armas, Rep. Zack Gramlich, Rep. Karilyn Brown and Rep.-elect Bill Teeter. Rep. The legislators received a presentation from Dr. Jacob Grosskopf, director of Arkansas Governor’s School, and visited with students recruited from across the state. The program, designed for rising high school seniors, brings together academically motivated students for a concentrated month of study and activities.
