Born in Springfield on Feb. 18, 1937, she was raised in a family with deep ties to the city. She attended Blessed Sacrament for her early education and later graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Those institutions and their alumni remain important parts of Springfield’s social and religious life.
Family, faith and civic life
She married Warren C. Foran in 1969; he preceded her in death in 2011. Her survivors include a sister-in-law, three nieces, three nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews, many of whom live locally. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
