Authorities describe confrontation, active search for vehicle
Sheriff Chris Clark said deputies responded to reports of gunfire after “some kind of confrontation that’s occurred here in the intersection,” and that multiple rounds were discharged. A white male victim was pronounced dead at the scene; the sheriff’s office is treating the incident as a homicide.
Investigators are searching for a vehicle believed to have been used by the person who fired the shots. Clark said officials are not yet releasing details about the make or model, but noted surveillance from Flock safety cameras helped detectives track the direction the suspected shooter took as they fled southbound on Ohio 235.
