Southington police responded to a reported shooting outside the Cadillac Ranch bar around 7 p.m. Wednesday and found multiple victims, including a man with a gunshot wound to the torso, officials said.
When officers arrived they located a 25-year-old male suffering from a gunshot injury to his torso. A second victim, described by police as 23 years old, was transported to a hospital and remains in critical condition, according to the department. A third man, 44, was treated for what police described as an apparent assault and was hospitalized in stable condition.
Police response and investigation
Because of the number of people involved and the severity of the incident, Southington police activated a mutual-aid protocol to secure the scene and help with the investigation. Authorities did not release the names of the victims or details about potential suspects. No arrests were announced in the initial reports.
