SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Mammoth released their 2026-27 National Hockey League regular-season schedule on Thursday, a calendar that begins Oct. 1 at the Delta Center and includes the team’s appearance in the 2027 Winter Classic at the University of Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium.
What changes for fans
The NHL has returned to an 84-game regular season for the first time since 1993-94. The Mammoth will play 41 home games at the Delta Center and will open the season on Thursday, Oct. 1, against the Chicago Blackhawks.
After the home opener, Utah faces a heavy early travel load: the club plays 13 of its next 18 games on the road, including a five-game trip from Oct. 3-10 and a six-game road stretch from Oct. 29-Nov. 11.

The Winter Classic is the NHL’s annual outdoor regular-season game; this will be the league’s 18th Winter Classic and the 47th outdoor regular-season contest overall.
